Aieta
Aieta is an old village up in the hills behind San Nicola and is several hundred feet above sea level. It is about a twenty minute drive to reach Aieta from the coast.
During the summer the relative coolness of the hills is a refreshing change from the coast. The air is clear and pine scented. Aieta is a hill top village, so typical of this region, and all around there are fine mountain views.
